Dealing with
unwanted hair can be stressful. Most people turn to conventional ways of
removing it, but these can be expensive and time consuming, and worst of all,
they are not always effective treatments for unwanted hair. Thankfully, there
are natural ways that you can treat and remove unwanted hairs right in the
comfort of your own home. If you are looking for the best options to help you
get rid of facial hair or hair anywhere else, we have 5 highly effective ways
of doing so.
Papaya Paste
Sugar Scrub
This is
another great option that costs very little and takes just a short time to
make. You will need 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of honey, 1/2 a lemon, and 1 tsp of
tea tree oil or chamomile oil. This is about 8 to 10 drops of oil. Mix all of
this together in a pot and allow to warm on the stove. You should be able to
spread it easily, but be sure that you allow the mixture to cool a bit before
applying it to your skin. Clean the area on which you will be spreading the
paste and then sprinkle a bit of cornstarch on your skin. This helps make the
area dry, making it easier to get the effect you want. Spread the mixture on
top of the cornstarch and press a piece of cloth on top. After about 5 minutes,
quickly rip off the cloth. It works like a session of waxing but without the
expense!
Chickpea and Flour
Mask
Chickpea
is very effective in stopping hair growth and removing unwanted hair. You will
need chickpea flour, which you can find in most supermarkets, 1/2 of milk,
fresh cream unless you have oily skin, and 1 teaspoon turmeric. Mix all of this
together and apply it to your face in the direction in which your hair
naturally grows. Let it set for about 30 minutes and then rub the mask off in
the opposite direction of hair growth.
For this
mask you will need one egg white, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of
cornflour. Beat all of these ingredients together until you get the consistency
of a paste and then apply it to your clean face. Allow to dry to a thin mask,
and then pull it firmly off your skin. It will remove unwanted hairs with minimum
effort and little to no pain.
Alum and Rosewater
This
remedy is ancient and has been used by women in India for a long time to remove
unwanted hairs from all over the body. You will need to have access to alum
powder, which you can buy in ethnic stores or online. Mix 1/2 tsp of this
powder with 2 or 3 tablespoons of rosewater, until the powder is dissolved. Dip
a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it to your body wherever you have
hairs you would like to remove. Allow to dry and then apply it again in the
same area. Keep repeating this for about an hour. If you find that your skin is
too sensitive, try it only for 15 minutes. Wash off the mixture and apply
soothing oils like sesame oil or olive oil, which can also help moisturize. For
the best results, do this at least twice a week.
These are
five of the best ways to take care of unwanted hair. Because these remedies are
all natural, you do not have to worry about irritating your skin or subjecting
it to chemicals to get the results you want. With just a few household
ingredients, you can have the smooth, hair-free skin you want.
